Experimenting the YUI

In the pre-analysis phase of Docebo 4.0 external components we have chosen, as AJAX-JavaScript library, a Yahoo! product released under the BSD license, (which can work together with the GPL license). Using AJAX you can obtain results like:
  • Integrated library, very well documented with many functions
  • Easy content navigation without page refresh (watch sample)
  • Complex features with easy interface (Tree View, Notification ...)
  • Easy ordering of component through drag functions (Watch sample)
  • Easy interface for confirmation functions on the same page (Watch sample)
  • Editing "in line" data and inserting new data without page refresh
  • Easy data browsing
AJAX functions, already included in Docebo 3.5, will be used even more in docebo 4.0

It`s a perfect chice , but I hope using these interfaces don`t cause some problems with languages encoding like UTF-8 .

Will be nice to maintain the examples´ look and feel.

With drag and drop also will be nice to have a new question category similar to the match iteraction.
